About the Role

We’re seeking a commercial co‑founder to own and scale our go‑to‑market strategy. You will partner with the CEO (Risk) and CTO (Product/Engineering) to position Risk Llama, build brand presence, generate pipeline, close enterprise deals, and develop strategic partnerships. You’ll turn our early traction into repeatable growth across risk management, due diligence, and venture capital segments, while feeding market insights back into product to accelerate roadmap fit. This role is hands‑on, outcome‑driven, and foundational to our next stage of growth.

Location

We are looking for someone based in or with the right to work in either the UK or Hong Kong as we have a presence in both. We are currently unable to sponsor visas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the GTM strategy across ICPs (Risk/Compliance leaders, CISOs/CROs, VC/PE partners) with clear targets for ARR, pipeline, CAC/LTV, and conversion.

  • Own demand generation: messaging, content, campaigns, events, ABM, and product-led growth motions leveraging free trials and the free due diligence scanner.

  • Build and manage the sales funnel end‑to‑end: prospecting, discovery, demos, pilots/POCs, proposals, security reviews, procurement, and enterprise negotiations.

  • Create positioning, pricing/packaging, and sales playbooks by segment; enable repeatable motions for SMB, mid‑market, and enterprise.

  • Collaborate tightly with Product and Engineering to translate customer feedback into roadmap priorities and validate new features (e.g., Lluma AI, Market Watch, Risk Recap, Executive Insights, Llama Vault).

  • Represent Risk Llama as a thought leader: speak at industry events, drive PR/analyst relations, and publish high‑impact content.

  • Stand up customer success and expansion motions to reduce churn and drive NRR via onboarding, adoption, and executive value reviews.

  • Support fundraising with market insights, traction metrics, competitive positioning, and investor outreach alongside the founding team

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of B2B SaaS commercial leadership across sales and/or marketing, with a track record of driving ARR growth from early stage to scale.

  • Deep experience selling to enterprise buyers in risk/GRC, due diligence, fintech, data/AI, or adjacent regulated domains.

  • Proven ability to close complex 5–6+ figure deals and navigate security, compliance, and procurement due diligence.

  • Strong network with senior risk and compliance stakeholders (CRO, CCO, Head of Risk, CISO) and/or VC/PE operating partners.

  • Hands‑on demand generation and product marketing expertise: ICP definition, messaging, ABM, content, events, PLG/SLG integration.

  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills; comfortable selling board‑level outcomes and ROI.

  • Ability to thrive in an early‑stage, resource‑lean environment and build processes, playbooks, and teams from the ground up.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior co‑founder or first‑go‑to‑market hire experience in an early‑stage startup.

  • Existing relationships with consultancies, GRC platforms, data providers, cloud marketplaces (AWS/Azure) and systems integrators.

  • Familiarity with risk frameworks and compliance landscapes (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR) and vendor risk processes.

  • Experience marketing and selling AI‑enabled SaaS products and articulating measurable business value.

  • Success launching into EMEA/APAC and managing multi‑region GTM.

  • Public speaking, analyst relations, and thought leadership with published work in risk, governance, or venture domains
